Petermann Bus team member Carla Dodd, region manager based in Cincinnati, Ohio, received the Golden Merit Award by the National School Transportation Association (NSTA). NSTA’s Golden Merit Award was established in 1969 to recognize school bus employees for their excellence in the school bus transportation industry in service, safety and community responsibility.
Ten years ago, Dodd began her career with Petermann as a general manager. Over the next several years, she advanced her career, taking on additional responsibilities as an area general manager in 2012 and a region manager in 2013. In her current role, she oversees operations at nine locations in two states with more than 600 employees.
Dodd was recognized for her years of dedication to the student transportation industry and her achievements in safe operations, exceptional service delivery to customers, a strong commitment to employees and communities, and overall excellence in providing safe and reliable student transportation services.
“Carla is one of the most knowledgeable and conscientious student transportation industry professionals that I have had the pleasure of working with,” said Mike Settle, Chief Operating Officer, at National Express LLC, the parent company of Petermann Bus. “Not only has she earned the respect of senior leadership at Petermann – and National Express – she has also developed strong relationships with her customers, employees, and the communities we serve.
