National Express completes Petermann acquisition

Warrenville, Ill. – National Express Group, the parent company of leading U.S. student transportation provider Durham School Services, completed the acquisition of Petermann on May 1, 2012. Headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, Petermann was the fifth largest student transportation provider in the United States.

This acquisition strengthens National Express’ position in the student transportation market, increasing fleet size to 20,000 buses across North America. “We are thrilled to add this solid brand to our U.S. operations, and are excited to welcome Petermann customers and employees to our family,” stated David Duke, the chief executive officer of National Express Corp, which operates as Durham School Services in the U.S. “Our customers and employees will continue to see operational excellence with an intense commitment to safety and outstanding service.”
