DURHAM BUSES WILL TRANSPORT CITIZENS

Durham Charter Services will partner with the Texas Rangers on Saturday, July 6, to provide shuttle services for hundreds of West, Texas, residents to enjoy a baseball game at Rangers Ballpark. Durham will operate 20 buses the day of the event.

“We’re happy to be helping the Rangers organization with additional transportation for this special game,” said Nancy Clabots, Durham’s National Charter Sales Coordinator.

The city of West was shaken in April by an explosion at a fertilizer plant that killed 15 people and destroyed more than 150 homes. The blast also demolished two schools, a nursing home and an apartment complex.

Durham buses will arrive in West at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday to collect local citizens for the Rangers evening game against the Houston Astros. The fleet will arrive at Rangers Ballpark just after 4 p.m. Buses will depart the stadium approximately 20 minutes after the game ends.

The Durham buses will be operated by the company’s Lewisville facility, which already shuttles hundreds of employees and thousands of patrons to every Rangers home game.

“Our Lewisville team does a great job with the game-day transportation, so riders can expect a professional service that runs safely and on time,” Clabots said.

Durham Charter Services is an extension of Durham School Services, which is the second-largest provider of school bus services in the United States. Durham’s fleet of 17,000 buses at more than 200 locations provides the convenience and flexibility that youth and adult groups need when arranging charter trips, whether it’s for 10 passengers or several thousand.
