NEW EXECUTIVE TO OVERSEE TRANIST DIVISION OF NATIONAL EXPRESS CORPORATION
National Express Corporation (NEC), the North American division of National Express Group, welcomes Gary Waits as Divisional CEO of National Express Transit Corporation (NETC).
NETC was established in 2012 to provide best‐in‐class fixed route, demand response, commuter, shuttle, and ADA paratransit solutions for public‐sector customers in the United States.
In his new role, Waits is responsible for providing vision and leadership for NETC, continues the expansion of the transit division and further building the NETC brand in North America.
“NETC has grown to operate nearly 1,000 vehicles, employ more than 1,300 people, and provide service to customers in eight states since its inception,” said David A. Duke, President and CEO of NEC. “I have great confidence in Gary’s ability to lead this key business unit and continue to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
Waits has spent 16 years in the transportation industry and most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer of NEC’s Eastern U.S. student transportation division. Prior to that, he served as the Commercial Director for National Express Group overseeing the company’s global expansion efforts.
